[Grammar] A Service request will be close / open or closed / opened

Hi,
I am working as a Service Engineer and we work with a system that documents the Service Requests of the customers.
I would like to know whether the grammar of the below sentence is correct or am I missing something?

As this solution is not implemented right now, current SR will be closed and a new SR will be opened once implementation phase begins.


Should it be "will be close / open" or the current form is the correct one?

Can you please elaborate more about the rules ?
I saw some examples yet it is not clear to me (I also thought that I am correct so me and my colleague had a discussion about it).

With "closed" it is easy. You would never say "the door is close" or "the door will be close."

You use the "-ed" form to make an adjective from a verb (predicate adjective). You also use it to express the passive.

"The service report will be closed" is expressing a future, passive action. This is the point. You are specifically stating that an action will take place.

"The service report is closed" is expressing the present status of the report by using the "-ed" form of the verb as an adjective.

For "open" it is a little more complicated.

"The report will be open" is about the future status of the report.

"The report will be opened" is about the future action (someone opening it).

The point of the statement, again, is that someone will take a future action.
