Our clients come to our company for consulting purpose. Normally we would ask them for some questions below.

1. What business are you in (including the products)?
2. How do you pay your suppliers? (e.g by letter of credit, Open Account 30 days)
3. How do your customer pay you? (e.g by letter of credit, Open A/C 30 days)

Could anybody tell me how to ask the above questions naturally?

LC terms will be LC at sight, LC 30 days or LC 90 days. Payment terms for Open Account will be 30 days. Is it correct to ask "What is payment terms of the LC or open account?

The questions you have written sound natural to me.

Maybe you can add:
Why type of business are you in? What product(s) do you deal with?

Thanks tedmc

If I want to ask how long your customers pay you, is it natural to say "For telegrahic transfer(T/T) payment, how long do your customers pay you when the goods are delivered"? Are there any suggestions?

That would be an difficult question to answer. How long the customers take to make payments varies a lot in any business and has nothing to do with the mode of payment.

How long on average do your customers take to settle payment upon delivery of goods?

Usually how long do your customers pay you when the goods are delivered"? It is natural?

We often say net 30 or net 60 for expected payment within a specific period of time.

Can the following be one of them?
'How long does it usually take customers to pay you by telegrahic transfer after the goods have been delivered?'

What are the terms of payment for your suppliers?

--lotus

Some of my clients are non-native speakers, when I ask about the terms of payment they pay their suppliers, some clients seem to be confused. Some of them are even not good at English.

Can anybody help to make the following questions simple and natural, please?

1) How do you pay your suppliers (I mean mode of payment)?

2) How long do you pay your suppliers ? (May be L/C at 30 days. 30 days open a/c)

3) How do your customer pay you? (I mean mode of payment)

3) How long do your customers pay you? ((May be L/C at 30 days. 30 days open a/c)

Would appreciate it for your help.
