    make preparation?

Unfortunately, many people can only see a camel's outstanding performance, but few understand its preparations made for it.

Can "preparations" be replaced by "preparation" in the sentence? Thanks for help.

    Re: make preparation?

It is usually "make preparations" (plural). http://www.thefreedictionary.com/preparation

It is better to use "the" before "preparation", to avoid a repeat of "it".

    not a teacher

I don't think a camel actually prepares for anything.
