    to be credited to

    Hi,

In the below sentence, what does the pronoun "they" refer to? (funds?) and I do not just find out what "credit to" mean here.

PayPal has to compete with the credit transfer a payment mechanism that is well known by European users. Furthermore, although a credit transfer requires more time for funds to travel from payer to payee (2−3 days) they are credited to the giro account of the seller.

    Thanks in advance
