    Photo is of

Suppose some one has displayed the photo in Whats APP and I want to know the place where the Photo has been taken:

    Photo is of which place?

Is the above sentence is correct?

    Re: Photo is of

The sentence starts with "from". Is this the reason that sentence is not correct or any other specific reason?

    Re: Photo is of

That's one reason. Why do you want to complicate a perfectly good simple question?

Are you sure your native language is English?

Native speakers don't need to study their language to speak it fluently. Do you have a language that you speak better than English that you learnt as a baby from your family? If so, that's your native language. I know this can be a sensitive matter, but it helps us help you, if we know the situation. For example, we might understand why you don't start a sentence with "The photo ..." instead of just "Photo ..."

I have been learning English since my childhood too, but I am pretty sure that my native language is not English.

That's a real tangle. You do NOT sound like English is your first language!

    - Don't say "From which" when you mean "Where." When you mean "where," say it.

    - We don't take pictures from. We take them of.

    - There is no reason to describe a photo as relating to a place. It's a picture of a place. It's not a picture of a relation to a place.

English is already a complicated language. Don't make it more complicated!
I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
