    to be painted

    Hi,

what does the verb"paint" mean here?

When librarian resist such efforts, we are painted as everything from traitors to pornographers.

    Thanks

    Re: to be painted

"Depicted" or "described". There should be an "s" on "librarian" - it is followed by a plural verb.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    "Portrayed" is another option.
