    Using get and/or got

    Hello all,

I think my question is not a complicated one.

Once I wrote in a informal message to a friend the following phrase: "We get a problem". Basically, the sense is the same of the famous phrase "We got a problem, Houston".

Is correct the way that I wrote? If not I'd like to know why, if possible.

    Thanks in advance.

    Estev„o.

"We got a problem" is actually not correct, but you will hear it. It is a shortening of "We've (we have) got a problem. That does not work with "get".
