    I miss / missed you so much

    Hi,

    I"m going to send a letter to my friend which I havn't seen long time.

    which is correct to say:

    1. I miss you so much.

    2. I missed you so much.

    i think i still cant tell whene to use "miss" or "missed".

    "I have missed you so much since you left." (you are still away)
