because of the books that you picked up for us to read

    Hello,

    *self-made sentence*

    - Sir, I spent all my day because of the books that you picked up for us to read.

I would like to ask I was able to use 'for us to read' in the sentence or not.

    Thanks.

    I am not a teacher.

'…for us to read.' is the best part of the sentence. The rest is confused and unclear, I'm afraid.

Re: because of the books that you picked up for us to read

"I spent all my day" is an incomplete idea.

The following are all possible (as are many others):

I spent my whole day reading because of those books you picked for us to read.
I wasted my whole day because of those books you picked for us to read.
I read all day because of those books you picked for us to read.
I had to read all day because of those books you picked for us to read.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
