    practical school

    Good morning
I have come across this phrase: 'practical school'. I don't know what kind of school this is . By the context I guess it is a school for disadvantaged pupils. I would appreciate if you could give me a synonym or some clue so that I can translate it into Italian.Thank you very much, dora anselmo

    Re: practical school

I haven't seen the term used in this way in the UK. I would have guessed that it was a school where people learned practical skills, like apprenticeship schools.

    Re: practical school

We have schools in the US that are called "vocational schools". They teach things such as automobile mechanics, welding, and other practical skills.
