Should I use article "the" in this sentence or it's not necessary?

1. "I'd like to visit the Baughnes 44 museum some day."

2. "I'd like to visit Baughnes 44 museum some day."

Should I use the definite article [STRIKE]"the"[/STRIKE] in this sentence or is it [STRIKE]it's[/STRIKE] not necessary?

1. "I'd like to visit the Baughnes 44 museum some day."

2. "I'd like to visit Baughnes 44 museum some day."

I've never heard of that museum, and I can't find it on Google either!
Does it really exist?

They use it in the title of their homepage, but not in the text. I would probably use it, as we do with most museums.

I can't see anything in that link to suggest it's spelt "Baughnes".

If the name is correct, I would use the article.

So the real name is Baugnez 44 Historical Center (thanks for the correction), but can I write it as Baugnez 44 museum? So is this sentence correct? "I'd like to visit the Baugnez 44 museum some day." Or should I remove the article?

I imagine plenty of people don't use the entire "Baugnez 44 Historical Center" name to refer to it - it's a bit of a mouthful. However, a historical centre and a museum aren't necessarily the same thing.

If I wanted to be very clear, I would say "I want to visit the Baugnez 44 Historical Center one day". If the person I was speaking to already knew what the place was, I might well say "I want to visit Baugnez 44 one day" or "I want to visit that Baugnez 44 place one day".

Why change the name?

I thought the name is Baughnes 44, apparently it's Baugnez 44.

I think Mike meant "Why change it from Baugnez 44 Historical Center to Baugnez 44 Museum?"

Anyway why change "I'd like" to "I want"? Or it's interchangeably?

There's no real difference in meaning between "I want to go ..." and "I'd like to go ...".
