Hi there,
Please check this same sentence written in a little bit of different ways and let me know if there is any wrong! I sometimes get confused with the use of relative pronoun.
Are the four sentences themselves right?

#1 "The battery is stored in front of windscreen, which stores the electricity."

#2 "The battery is stored in front of windscreen which stores the electricity."

#3 "The battery stored in front of windscreen stores the electricity."

#4 "The battery, which stores the electricity, is stored in front of windscreen, ."

I think last two are correct, but I am not sure about the first two.

Thanks!

This is not a good example of the use of a relative pronoun.

You don't want to use 'stores/stored' twice in the same sentence.

Most people know that batteries store electricity; you don't need to say so.
Batteries are not located in front of the windscreen (AE windshield); they would obscure the driver's view of the road.

Try to find a better example.

#1 The dynamo, stored in the car, generates the electricity.
#2 The dynamo stored in the car generates the electricity.
#3 The dynamo which is stored in the car generates the electricity.
#4 The dynamo generates the electricity which is stored in the car.

How about now? I think last one is not right. But I want to make sure.

#3 is nearest but the alternator is not stored in the car.

Keeping 'which' (the point of your question), try

'The alternator, which is located in the engine compartment, keeps the battery charged.'

Hello Rover,
Thank you so much for you help!
If you just don't mind, can you, forgetting about the examples, tell me briefly whether the sentence structures are wrong or right? I actually want to use relative pronoun phrases accurately and my main focus is on that. Besides, the way you are illustrating is quite complicated to me. However, I will try come up with proper contexts.

1, 3 and 4 of your original post use correct syntax.
#2 states which windscreen the battery is stored in front of, which is not the intended meaning. The lack of a comma in #2 makes it a defining 'which' clause.
