    Pregnant ... somebody

    Hi,

I,m wondering what preposition I should use, when I want to say that somebody made somebody pregnant.
For example Anna is pregnant with Bill (they gave him the name in advance :) ) and Jack is Bill's dad.
So, Anna is pregnant ... Bill. In my language, the preposition would be "from", but as I know it would be wrong in English.

    Thanks

    Use "by."

Is it OK to say 'got pregnant from someone'?

It's the wrong proposition in the correct place, so it's not ungrammatical.

Shouldn't this be Anna is pregnant by Jack?

    Re: Pregnant ... somebody

    She is pregnant by Jack.
    She is pregnant with Bill.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
