    the apples for cooking

    Are these sentences correct:

    1) The apples for cooking are in the basket.
    2) The apples for eating fresh are in the fridge.
    3) The apples for peeling are on the table.

    I think '1' and '2' work, but I have doubts about '3'.

    I can live with all three. For me 2 is the strangest.
