    Have had and Had

    Hi,

I recently went on a holiday. At the end of it, the holiday rep wrote me a card saying ' I hope you have had a good holiday'.

My question is, would it make any difference if she had written 'I hope you had a good holiday' ? What's the difference if there is any?

    Thank you!

    Re: Have had and Had

If the card were written close to the end of the holiday, the present perfect would be better. But the simple past would also work.
