Cool What's the proper way to type this?

Hello! I frequently need to write e-mails to various contacts with my new job, but I never really learned the proper way to structure an intro such as this:

Hello there, my name is John Doe. I'm a Sales Manager at Company.

    Is this format correct?
Are my commas and periods in the correct places?
Would a semicolon fit in somewhere here? I never really understood how to use them.
If I started the sentence with Hello, Jane, would it change the structure at all?

    Thank you for your time!

Re: What's the proper way to type this?

I wouldn't start a work email with "Hello there", especially if it was the first time I had emailed someone.

For an individual, I would start with "Dear [name of recipient]" and for a group email, "Good morning/afternoon".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Thank you for your prompt response. However, this still fails to answer any of my questions.

That response may save you some embarrassment, however.

    Dear Ms. Adams,
My name is John Smith and I am a sales manager with Acme, Inc.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
