    Because and comma

I am not sure if I have punctuated these sentences correctly. Would you please correct my mistakes?

    1. Peter was late because his car had broken down.
    2. The traffic is interrupted because of the heavy rain.
    3. She wished she could stop smoking because she was with a child.

    Re: Because and comma

The punctuation is fine. At the end of #3, I would use "because she was pregnant" (if that is what you meant).
