    Suggest

Could you please tell me if all my sentences are correct:

    1) The police suggest that you don't give them any money
    2) The police suggest us not give them any money
    3) The police suggest not give them any money
    4) The police suggest not to give them any money

I'm checking the use of infinitive after "suggest" in 4). For what I know it is not correct.

    Many thanks.

    Re: Suggest

    1 is okay.
2 is not okay - we don't say "suggest us"
    3 is not okay
    4 is not okay

The police suggest not giving them any money.
The police suggest that we not give them any money.
The police suggest that you not give them any money.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

The police suggest not giving them any money.
The police suggest that we not give them any money.
The police suggest that you not give them any money.
    Let me check again, please.
    So both will be correct:

    1) The police suggest that you don't give them any money
    2) The police suggest that you not give them any money

    ???

    Thank you.

    Re: Suggest

I think both wouldn't be correct without a period, but I am not a teacher.
