    The movie Jurassic World opens in theaters this weekend.

    Can you say:

    I remember you saying that your friend wants/wanted to see Jurassic World this weekend.

    I think wants is correct because of saying.

    I would use wanted if I started the sentence with said.

    Am I correct here?

    Both verbs would work, but I agree with your choice.

    I would choose 'wanted' because 'you' said it at some point in the past.
