    suffix - ity

    Hello everyone,
Could you, please, tell me if I got it right or wrong:

When we form nouns from adjectives by adding - ity to adjectives, is there a rule about -e followed by - L that changes them into -bi
Or is it something to do with using - ble together?

    Possible - possibility

Do the letters ble always changes into bil?
    Probable - probability

    Thank you

    Re: suffix - ity

Rather than 'ble' changing to 'bil', think of it as 'able' changing to 'ability'.
