    Question "Afterword"

Hello, I am looking for a word that would mean "afterword," the meaning of which would be similar to "foreword," but to mean after not before. For instance, epilogue does not satisfy me, because the word I'm looking for is to be used in journal (at the end of an issue).

    Thanks,
    Nyggus

    Re: "Afterword"

Would you believe that "afterword" is the word you are looking for? It's usually a summary or a critical commentary by someone other than the author of the main work, but it doesn't have to be.

I did once see a book that had something called a "backword", but this was a joke. It was a collection of Goon Show scripts, the Goon Show being a popular radio comedy show in the 1950s, which (among others) starred Peter Sellers, who later became famous as the original Inspector Clouseau.
