    teethpaste [video]

Would you be so kind as to tell me whether in this video (YouTube) she says '[...] you need to be using some teethpaste [...]"?

    Thanks.

    Re: teethpaste [video]

    Hello, suprunp.

I can hear her saying 'teethpaste', too.
But she then says 'I use flouride-free toothpaste. I think that's important as well.'
    I'm wondering if it's just a slip.

She says 'toothpaste', but she does say it a bit odd. She shortens the vowel and overemphasizes the 'th' a bit. Mostly I think it's just because she's speaking rapidly.

    "Odd" is not an adverb.
Use "oddly", or you can say: "... it sounds a bit odd ..."

    Re: teethpaste [video]

Teechar, my usage is fine. Just because it doesn't conform to your particular desires to micromanage the entire English language, doesn't mean it's incorrect.

There's really no need to get all that upset about it.

Let's wait and see what others have to say.
