Hello,

An assassination team plans to murder someone and the chief of the team goes like this:

"Once the hit occurs, the shooter, and the shooter only, is into the wind."

What does "be into the wind" mean here?

In this context 'in the wind' might mean to disappear like a leaf or piece of paper blowing away.

Note that it is "in the wind", not "into the wind".
