“But now they want her found,” Miller said.
“They do.”
“What changed?”
“They didn’t see fit to share that information.”
“Right.”
I understand that the people, who first didn't care, now want the girl found, but they gave no information why they changed their mind.
“Didn’t see fit” sounds quite denigratory to me in this context, is that so?
How should I interpret it here ?
- They didn't find it important information?
- They didn't want us to know?
- We weren't important enough to know?
- It was none of our business?
