    Can I say "I felt it happen" or does it have to be "happening"?

    "I felt God lead me into the light"

    Use "leading" and put a full stop at the end of the sentence.

    Felt something (gerund)
    Felt it happening
    Felt God leading me
    I am not a teacher.
