What is the ego?

Is the ego emotions? Is there positive and negative emotions? Should I always question my negative emotions? The word fear is a emotion, what caused it and why? Is it the mind or body causing ones emotions?

The ego is a person's sense of self. Some people feel that there are positive and negative emotions, but any emotion can cause you trouble if you let it get out of control. Always take a look at anything that is giving you trouble. The word fear is not an emotion; it's a word. Emotions come from deep within. If there were no such thing as fear of lions the deer would not run from the lion and would not live to see another day.



BTW, you do realize that this whole thread is off-topic, don't you? (We aren't exactly discussing English grammar and usage.)
