There is no need for an article before "last week". Why do think think there should be one?
Student or Learner
So,there is a sentence in an exercise section of advanced grammar book dedicated to articles:
"Sue bought the Picasso I was telling you about THE/ZERO ARTICLE last week".
The right answer is "ZERO ARTICLE". But I can't comprehend why. Could somebody, please, explain it to me?
the previous week
the following week
two weeks ago
the week after next
the week before
Why? It's idiomatic. Just make a note of it and learn it.
Ohh, ok. Thank you very much! :D
I just thought for some reason that this "last week" was somehow definite. :D
