    go-to passwords

    Hi,

Could anyone help me with the following sentence?

"John had three go-to passwords for that website, that means, it took me only two tries to guess the right one."

I don't understand what go-to passwords means? Could someone help me out? Thanks in advance.

    Re: go-to passwords

I assume it means that John had three passwords that he used all the time.

    Re: go-to passwords

That's right. Here it means 'frequently-used'.

Matthew, once again, please refrain from jumping in so soon with a tentative answer before native speakers have had a chance to reply, unless you have certain knowledge or can quote a source in support of your opinion.
