What the meaning of the underlined part of the sentence in context to the complete sentence, please help me understand.
"But it Indicates, some sort of peculiar event in the early solar system that gave this moon a motion in contrast to the general spin of the raw material that it was formed from"
From what I understand is that - Some event in the solar system THAT gave this moon a clockwise spin around Neptune (Pl Note: all other moons in the solar system spin anticlockwise) in contrast to the general spin (ANTICLOCKWISE).........................did something/// did what????/ what did that event do?///
Im not able to understand what is it that the event do ? and how is that the underlined portion above relates to what the event did?
That text seems a little odd!
However, the comma after "indicates" is incorrect.
Therefore, the sentence can be parsed as: "But it points to some event which gave this moon a motion ... etc."
I hope this answers your question.
