he was almost going to crash

    Hi,

    *self-made*

    - Last day we got on the bus to go to the cinema. The driver were such a careless man; he was almost going to crash the bus.
    - Last day we got on the bus to go to the cinema. The driver were such a careless man; he would almost crash the bus.

I cannot figure out what is the difference in meaning between 'would' and 'was going to' in the above sentence.

Re: he was almost going to crash

    Neither one is natural.

Yesterday, we went to the cinema on the bus. The driver was so careless, he nearly crashed the bus.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

You cannot use "the driver were".
