The translator ignores the instruction to follow

Is the following sentence correct and understandable? (It's for the description of an online translator.)

"The translator ignores the instruction to follow grammar rules on plural forms of nouns."
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

Re: The translator ignores the instruction to follow

I just noticed that the phrase I wrote in the initial post doesn't convey the meaning I need - The translator doesn't follow the instruction (guide) in which it is said that it (the translator) follows grammar rules on plural forms of nouns.
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

Personally, I would write something like the following for that meaning:

"The translator doesn't follow the instruction guide/manual which states that translators should follow grammar rules on plural forms of nouns".

That seems, to me, to be more natural.

Thank you. But that translator doesn't follow the rules described in the mannual for THAT particular translator. It is stated that it does follow grammar rules for plurals, not Should follow. How should I put it then?

If they aboslutely have to follow the rules of the manual, I would use the word "must", which means that they have to do it.
