    Question Is this sentece correct?

'I hastily stuffed everything in my bagpack and ran out of my house as otherwise I would have been late for bus.'

or should I say '[...] as otherwise I would be late for bus?'

I opt for the first one but not sure though.

    Best regards, Tomasz.

    Welcome to the forum, Tomasz.

Say either bag or backpack — not bagpack. You need 'the before 'bus'.

'...I would have been late' is fine.
