    As though

    Would you please take a look at my sentences and correct the mistakes. These a just my own exercises to see if I have used "as though" correctly.

    1. Lately, she felt exhausted and depressed as though her body had been tortured. (or should it be "were tortured"?)
    2. His sons treated the old man as though he were a burden they wanted to get rid of as soon as possible.
    3.The guests behaved as though nothing strange was happening, although they heard a quarrel in the kitchen.
