Re: simple past & past participle

The simple past is a verb tense.
    e.g.
I went to the cinema yesterday.
They didn't buy a car last year.
When did you buy this house?

The past participle is a verb form.
It is the third form in the examples below:
    buy, bought, bought
    do, did, done
    shoot, shot, shot
    dress, dressed, dressed
    lift, lifted, lifted

    Edit: cross-posted with Rover.
