    Ram is being generous

    Ram is being generous.
    Ram is generous.

The first sentence says that Ram is not generous but he is trying to be a generous. Am I right?

    Re: Ram is being generous

Not exactly, no. It doesn't say anything about how generous Ram usually is.

    Re: Ram is being generous

No, "Ram is being generous" refers to the exact moment when the sentence is spoken. "Right now, Ram is being generous". It's possible that usually he isn't. It's possible that usually he's incredibly generous. We have no way of knowing. We only know what is happening right now. "Ram is generous" means that his usual, everyday character is that of a generous person.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
