    Is this okay:

We've had too many end users purchase our product and return it a month later after it's been used and destroyed, therefore, we have to be extra careful in/with accepting returns over a month old.

Is the sentence okay? Are both in and with acceptable?

Better to start a new sentence after 'destroyed'.

I would use neither "with" nor "in" there. They are not needed.

The prepositions could be omitted. Or you can say:...be careful when we accept ...(for emphasis).

You probably mean damaged rather than destroyed.

Nobody would expect to get a refund or replacement for an item that they had wrecked irreparably.
