What's the word for it (this is another word)?

    Dear teachers,

On an exam paper there are marks to each part. For example,
    Listening comprehension 30 points
    Reading comprehension 40 points
    ............................... 30 points
etc. And I can say the total score is 100. If a students got 70 points. What's the word for it, real score, gained score, actual score?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

    Cool

i've got a cousin in London and they had a maths test....and my cousin wrote me a mail and in that mail she wrote: I got 45 points out of 50.

so in your case i'd say: 'the student got 70 out of 100.'
    hope that helped

Thank you very much for your help. What if I need to write in a chart and there are different columns? Is the following correct?
    Column One: Total score:100
    Column Two: out of 100?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you in advance.

If the first column contains the maximums, then use Total score: 100 and in the second use ... out of 100 or Total ... out of 100 for the individual's mark. Is that what yoiu mean? If so, you're right.

I think "actual score" would be better for a column heading.

    Dear tdol,

I am trying to send you an attachment which will show what I mean. It's the first time I use it. I hope I can succeed.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you in advance.

    Dear Coffa,
Thank you so much for your reply. Now I see.
I have sent an attachment just now I think that would make my idea clear.

Re: What's the word for it (this is another word)?

    You could just use this:

    Column one- Total 100
    Column two- Score 70
