due to /owing to as an answer

    Hi,

    *self-made*

    1- Case 1:

    A: Why are you crying?
B: Due to your brother! He hit me!

    2- Case 2:

A: What about the studies? Can you continue with them?
    B: No, I can't.
    A: Why?
    B: Owing to my illness.

I would like to ask if we can use 'due to' and 'owing to' instead of 'because/because of' when answering a question.

    Thank you.

They are not wrong but it's more natural to use "because/because of".

I consider "due to" and "owing to" in your sentences to be very unnatural. I consider them to be wrong.
