    Funeral notice vs sympathy card

    I would like to ask if funeral or obituary notice and sympathy card is one and the same thing.

    The obituary notice, often just referred to as an obituary, is the brief summary of a person's life which is printed in a newspaper. If often contains details about the funeral arrangements as well.

    A sympathy card is a form of greeting card you send directly to the family expressing your condolences.
