Post Mike is the kind of person who gets everything from life

Since this sentence is a defining relative clause can I reduce it by using an -ing reduced relative clause?

    E.g:

Mike is the kind of person who gets everything from life---->Mike is the kind of person getting everything from life.

That doesn't look natural to me.

Re: Mike is the kind of person who gets everything from life

So even though it is a defining relative clause,it is not correct to reformulate the sentece using an -ing form...

As bhaisahab said, it does not sound natural.
