    It didn't rain

    Hi,

It was going to rain but it didn't not. So what are some of the sentences which can be used in this situation?

    It didn't rain.
    The expected rain didn't/couldn't fall.
Can you please tell me some?

It didn't rain, even though it sure looked like it would.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
