    daily patterns of experience

    The arrival of large numbers of white men and women on the North American continent profoundly altered Native American cultures. Indians discovered that conquest strained traditional ways of life, and as daily patterns of experience changed almost beyond recognition, native peoples had to devise new answers, new responses, and new ways to survive in physical and social environments that eroded tradition...

    What does this "experience" mean? different ways of life affected by westerners in many ways?

    The things they'd normally experience and encounter while doing routine tasks changed significantly.
