it's time Jane packed or pack

    - It's time Jane packed up her things and go home.

In the above sentence, I thought the answer is 'packs', but i was wrong. It is 'packed'.

    Why is it 'packed'?

    Thank you!

After 'It's time', we use the unreal past (click here).

That should be 'It's time Jane packed up her things and went home'.

I'd accept "It's time Jane packs up her things and goes home", too.

I wouldn't. Perhaps it's the pedant in me.
