    Question among/in

    Dear Friends,

Could you please tell me which preposition is true in the following sentence?

We analyzed the variability of the sample coefficients of variation (CV) and skewness (CS) among/in the sites.

    Regards,
    Bahar

    Re: among/in

Prepositions are not true or false. They are correct or incorrect. That goes for all grammar terms.

I don't know if the scientific nature of the sentence calls for a specific preposition but "on" or "at" the sites sound like they would work.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: among/in

    Dear emsr2d2,

Thank you for your reply. In fact, I measured two mentioned parameters (Cv and Cs) from different locations (sites) inside a region and analyzed their variability. Now, do you think which preposition is correct in the mentioned sentence?

    Re: among/in

If there were more than two sites, I would use "among".
