    Deleted Posts

Is it just my imagination, but are deleted posts (either by a moderator or by the poster him-, herself) no longer being announced?

    Thank you.

    Re: Deleted Posts

You can't see them at the moment. When the spam invasion took place, people were tired of seeing and scrolling through page after page of deleted posts, so we made them invisible to users. It's not your imagination.

    Re: Deleted Posts

Can we soft delete posts that are not spam?

    Re: Deleted Posts

I'll look into whether that's possible to display- at the moment, I think, deletions do not display regardless of whether they are hard or soft deleted.

May I ask what "soft delete" means?
    Thank you.

    Re: Deleted Posts

Today, I received a notification that someone had posted to a thread I had subscribed to. When I went there, there was no post of mine in the thread. I can only assume that it was deleted. I must say that I find it annoying when a moderator deletes one of my posts, particularly when no reason is given.

I agree that this seem to be a glitsch in the system here. If a post has been deleted for what the mods consider to be a good reason, then I think the poster should at least be informed of the deletion and, ideally, be told the reason.

    Re: Deleted Posts

Can you post the link that was contained in the notification? The mods can have a look and see if we remember deleting anything.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
