    Arrow first things first

    Hi there,

I am really happy to join the most useful forum ever! Good for you, the forum runners!

    So this is the question:

I often come across the phrase "first things first" in different context. For instance, "First things first, let's get the job done."

But I find it a bit hard on me to grasp the idea it carries. So, I would be grateful if could explain that as simply as possible. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum, Azkado.

Let's start with the things that should be done first.

The most important/urgent things should be dealt with first.

It is an idiom the meaning of which you can find from the internet.
    What are "forum runners"?

    Re: first things first

I took it to mean "people who run the forum" - in which case, the question was addressed wrongly.
