    A fraction of their original price = ?

    "He in turn sold them to customer for a fraction of their original price."

    Does it mean as follows?

    original price : 100
    a fraction of original price : 110

    No. " ..fraction of' suggests a small fraction, for example, a third, a quarter, or less

    7 is a fraction of the original price. So is 10 or 20. Any increase in this context is quite the opposite. Teechar said it has to be way under 100 in the first answer- how can anything over be under?.
