    Deletetion of post - closure of thread

    I would like an explanation of why my final post was deleted from this thread, before locking the thread.

    I made a calm, rationale response which included a response to the OP's original question. Now I see that a moderator has closed the thread. However, the moderator neglected to mention posts had been deleted from it.

    If mods are going to selectively delete posts they disagree with, at least have the courage to state so. At the very least, I would request that at least the part of my final post giving an answer to the question be reinstated.

    This seems punitive to both the OP as well as myself. Also, will moderators continue selective deletion of divergent viewpoints in the future, without notification or explanation? At the very least, PM the poster and let them know why.

    I am pleased about that. However, the thread continues to be closed, unfortunately. A comment that, in British English, 'hunting' is generally used for activities undertaken purely for sport might have helped clear the air.
