Complimenting our pump repair service 3E uses - a comma, meaning., structure.

    Hello everybody!

    The original sentence is:

Complimenting our pump repair service 3E uses a variety of polymer coatings manufactured by Belzona.

In my opinion, the sentence should read as follows:

Complimenting our pump repair service, 3E uses a variety of polymer coatings manufactured by Belzona.

    or

While / in spite of complimenting us on pump repair service, 3E uses a variety of polymer coatings manufactured by Belzona.

As far as the meaning is concerned, I think it means:

Although 3E (the name of the company?) is complimenting or praising us for pump repair service, 3E uses a variety of polymer coatings manufactured by Belzona.

    or

On the one hand, E is complimenting or praising us for pump repair service, on the other hand, it (3E) uses a variety of polymer coatings manufactured by Belzona.

    Thank you.

    Where is the sentence from?
I think "complementing" fits the sentence better than "complimenting".

Re: Complimenting our pump repair service 3E uses - a comma, meaning., structure.

3E repairs a variety of pumps and related apparatus. Some pumps fail prematurely as the result of operation in severe duty applications; others are just old and tired after many years in service.
Complimenting our pump repair service 3E uses a variety of polymer coatings manufactured by Belzona. Belzona coatings offer the option of restoring a badly worn pump to like new condition. Impellers and volutes worn from cavitation, abrasion or corrosion are routinely restored with rebuilding grade products. Ceramic based coatings provide additional protection thus extending service life. In some cases the repaired pump is returned to the customer in better than new condition. Another major benefit is the energy savings that this product can provide. In some cases the payback is less than one year.

    Thanks for the text.
Yes, that was meant to be "complementing". Besides the conventional way of repairing pumps, the use of coatings offers an alternative to restore a pump. The coating method complements the conventional method of repair.

Unlike me, you must be technically-oriented. I did not find "Besides the conventional way of repairing pumps, the use of coatings offers an alternative to restore a pump." anywhere in the text I provided. Where did you get the sentence from?

He made it to explain how well the word "complementing" works in your context.
