    be to construction

Hello, dear teacher.I've stumbled upon construction be to do smth. many times over learning the language. It's actually easily understandable but i'd like to elaborate on it so as to use it correctly.I guess, it is "be to do something" construction for short, but it is just an assumption.Could you shed the light on this construction for me and tell me what it means and how to use it correctly? You are my only chance to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum, rozimark.

It's not clear what you are asking.

Please write a sentence using the phrase 'be to do something' and we may be able to help you.

    Hello,rozimark

I guess Rozimark you are asking about be+to+infinitive construction.
You're to sit in the corner and keep quiet.
